Spencer Morris was born in Georgetown, SC and grew up in the rural Warsaw community of Williamsburg County. Spencer attended elementary and high school in Andrews, SC and graduated as valedictorian of his senior class in 1995. He then went on to attend pharmacy school at the University of South Carolina and graduated with his clinical doctorate in pharmacy (Pharm.D.) in December 2000. After finishing pharmacy school, Spencer completed a clinical pharmacy residency at the McLeod Health Family Medicine Center in Florence, SC in 2002 and served for two years as an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine with the Self Regional Healthcare Family Medicine Residency training program in Greenwood, SC. In the fall of 2004, Spencer moved back to Lowcountry SC and has been living in Georgetown ever since.
